Moogoo guy pan very good / chicken with green been a little too salty, staff very patient & friendly
Excellent food and service.... I will definitely be back!
NEW OWNERS STARTED APRIL 2018! New Chef, new menu, and they do a really good job. Its a notch up for what was there before, which was serviceable. Now they are downright good! Accommodating of special requests, they aim to please and make great full flavored fresh dishes. Great value for lunch.
Decided to stop today because I’ve been hearing great reviews.Omg, delicious! Everything was light and airy. Didn’t taste greasy at all. Daughter had the orange chicken- so good, you can definitely taste and smell the oranges. My Almond fried chicken was crispy and delicious. Husband was so happy that we finally have a yummy Chinese food restaurant to go to now. My only complaint is no soup with the meals, however, they are huge portions so I don’t trally miss it. We will most definitely be back.
Great food every time we come here! Amazing service and prices......everyone should try this place it’s well worth the drive from anywhere!
With any new business, it's easy to fall down. And it matters more on how you get back up. If they can get past the extended time between placing an order to on the table, ready to eat. They will be fine. Had an hour wait with restaurant not quite 1/3 full. However, the food is worthy of another chance.
Pretty decent Chinese food for the area and abundance of food in the combo orders. Open for takeout during this time. I would encourage them to post more visible signs that they are open near the driveway and also post the menu so people can order. Staff need to wear masks and offer contactless payment and provide hand sanitizer at the counter or entrance when picking up. All that will help patrons feel more comfortable coming in to pick up food.
Just had dinner here. Have to say this place is awesome! Food, service and quality were top notch. This was our first visit but will most definitely return. Keep up the great work!
Food was yummy. It was fast and friendly service, so fast they forgot the tea and so did we.
It is a nice restaurant inside and the owner is very friendly and personable. Sadly, the food was just okay. I had hoped it would be more authentic asian cuisine, but not so - it was very Americanized. It has a small oddly slopped parking lot, but is quite functional if not too crowded.
Surprisingly excellent Chinese food cooked by actual Chinese people, in the heart of white bread Dundee. A great change-of-pace from wine tasting and gourmet restaurants. Good lunch specials and a great place for a quick meal or take out. Very easy to access with plenty of parking right on 99 at the very Northern end of Dundee.
Food is good. Service is not good sometimes.
Both quality and service have taken a hit since this place changed from Chan's to Jin's. Although it's still the best place for Chinese food we've tried in the greater Portland area, we're no longer willing to commute from Beaverton for it. :(
The bbq pork is excellent, but nearly everything else we've tried has missed the mark. Its not horrible, but with all the competition around the Newberg Dundee area for your Chinese food dollar, you'd think they'd step up their game a bit. The recipe styles are different than what we're used to, which is fine, but they have all been fairly bland. We've never eaten in the dining room, we've always taken the food to go, so I can't speak of the service, but the food is always ready on time. We are very local, so we keep coming back every few months to see if the food has improved, but sadly, not so far.
Shrimps and vegetables, not well cookedNot friendly. Will Never come back
I saw all the good reviews and was excited. Food was bland, mostly bean sprouts and barely any veggies in my vegetable chow mein. Had a hard time swallowing my sweet and sour chicken, it tasted like burnt ketchup.
What you need to know: Chan's is under new management and apparently has a new name. Like Ling's or something.Pros: - Prices are good and protions are huge. - The family is very kind and is working really hard to bring the best service they can. - The food was tender, pretty good sauces, and you can't go wrong with crispy cream cheese wraps.Cons: - Don't come expecting the original. It is 100% like lucky fortune or Chan's in McMinnville etc. - Greese. For days. On everything. - The wait. Like I said, they're kind and they're doing the best they can. You can see the panic in their eyes as they adjust to their new normal. But it took a long time to get our food and the guy had to come back ten minutes after ordering and ask "what did you order again? I forgot."In conclusion. Give it a go. If American fried Chinese food isn't your thing, don't give it a go. We probably won't be back.
Owners changed, not as good. Plan to give it another go, as I went during the opening week.
The food was great. Customer service was meh.
Great food unique & fresh flavors, friendly attentive hostes. Good local family restaurant. Definitely would recommend this place.
Not bad. Depends on the item you order. My friends was very bland although I liked it. She did not the lunch special is a good qunity on food and hit the spot. Really enjoyed their pink sauce was different and had a little kick to it. Over all I go again.
Fast even for a walk -in. Great food with large portions affordable. And lunch specials are great. Jin is so nice to talk with same as the staff/ family. Pride themselves on quality. My favorite place to eat.
The food at Jim's is always good. However, the waitstaff have a tendency of checking back with the customer every two minutes which becomes very annoying and uncomfortable. One or two check backs usually is great., but multiple check backs is harassing. If you're not into that kind of over service, I highly recommend ordering to go.
Ordered for the first time during quarantine 2020. I had this craving for chinese. This place was on POINT! The sweet and sour pork and orange chicken were exactly how I like them and the sauce was amazing. The pan fried noodles had tons of garlic which I love. I am so happy to have found this place! We will def be ordering again. Thank you for your hard work.
Really good food friendly staff very nice and clean
The food was just ok. The service was slow. The guy waiting on us seemed to want to go back to what he was doing more than he wanted to help us. The lunch special comes with crab puff and egg roll. We had to ask twice for red sauce for them.Again the whole experience was meh. I probably wont be back with all the other options available in the area.
The very best Chinese food ever. We had eight different dishes. Each one was far superior than at any Chinese food restaurant I have visited. Although it’s a two hour drive for me, I will be taking my family there as whenever we desire Chinese food.
Very good food. Not greasy at all. I was impressed with the food and the service. If some of you had bad service or food I would definitely inspire you to try it again. I had pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, general tso chicken (best I have ever had) egg rolls, crab puffs and egg flower soup. It was all delicious!! I walked out full with food to take home!
Love the BBQ pork
General Tso's Chicken. We had stopped eating here when it was Chan's. New management has changed the food and we have a great Chinese place in Dundee for take out.
Great service, people, food is amazing, giant servings... highly recommend
Food so good and quick service.
Good authentic well made food!
Service was good !! But unfortunately the only edible food was the sweet and sour chicken . we left 3/4ths of our plates full on the table ...sorry to say we won't be back !
Ordered take out from here. We loved it. Hearty hot and sour soup.
Not very good. Bbq pork was greasy, fried rice was dry, hot tea was cool . Just not the best. Staff was polite.
I thought the batter used on the sweet and sour pork, egg rolls and shrimp was very light and delicate. The chicken Chow Mein was nicely cooked (not soggy) but a bit flat tasting and slightly dry. We will definitely go again.
Staff was nice, food was great. Just the right portion size to fill me up without extra to take home.
Fresh hot food. Good spice and sauces. Large portions.
First time here for us, we had a great lunch! Their BBQ Pork was tender and perfectly cooked! My wife had their number #4 and I had their #7. Everything was perfect in our opinion. The waitress was great and the chef came out to say hello and to make sure we were happy with our meal as well! We live in Lincoln City and will make the hour drive for another delicious Chinese Lunch and or dinner!
Good Food and Service
Horrible service! Wondering if Jin was there that night . . . Sauce was yummy for Beef and Bean and dipping sauce for crab puffs though didn't taste the crab. Loved the choice of veggies for the cashew chicken but sauce had an off taste. Don't think I'll return anytime soon.
I rarely leave reviews with a one star but this place deserves it. Bland flavorless and boring food almost no meat in all of the meat entrées even the sweet and sour sauce tasted frozen and premade. A disgusting waste of time.
We have looked all over Portland area for good Chinese and finally found it! Homemade fresh food amazing bbq pork and great service! It’s way worth the drive oh ya and great prices!
Good clean Chinese food. I can tell they change their oil because their food didn't give me heartburn.
Pretty standard Chinese food. Sometimes you just have to go for it. Service is friendly and attentive. The food doesn't disappoint, as long as your expectations aren't too high.
Great food and staff. Well worth the stop. This is a family run restaurant with great food and service.
The new owners come with better recipes to the typical Chinese food experience and yes, quality and portions are a step above what used to be.
Good food fast service
I can not say enough good things. I have become a regular and the food is consistently awesome. I have tried out many restaurants in the area. This is by far the best in my opinion. The restaurant has a family feel and everyone there is truly amazing.
